This is a story of love - love for the game of basketball, for getting in the gym, on the road, and in the lives of many young men who are in need. I have been doing this for many years, and on a weekly basis I get a thank you email, text, or message from one of the young men that my colleagues and I have helped. But for summer hoops, I don't know where some of these young men would have ended up. And from my perspective, I have probably learned as much, if not more, from the young men I have coached and guided. Summer hoops has instilled a sense of purpose in many people - coaches, kids, and families. I will end with this; there are two young men, non-players, who joined our program during a difficult time in their respective lives when they needed something to help guide them. They have both become VERY well respected recruiting/scouting gurus in a short amount of time, and SUMMER HOOPS via our program helped them find purpose and direction. That story, combined with dozens of student-athlete successes, makes it clear to me that good things are happening in SUMMER HOOPS. Let's keep it going!
